It was noted that.Charles l cGror r of D.G. Jones&Partners, Inc. <br /> is the selected cost estimating firm for the intended project scope. <br /> �-. May indicated that his firm has extensive experience in design and <br /> management in the public sector. The focused design team is committed to a <br /> participatory design process. Several successful projects include the Fire <br /> Fescue Headquarters station and satellite station at Logan Airport. <br /> The firm reviewed the existing facilities and made note of issues pertaining <br /> to overcrowding, safety, storage, ADA requirements and lack of facilities to <br /> accommodate distaff members of the fire department. <br /> May suggested that a future satellite station be considered as part of <br /> the initial design process. We are committed to build a project with the <br /> determined budget informed Mr. May who noted that his firms cost estimates <br /> are accurate Vith respect to final figures. <br /> The last five projects designed by the firm were within budget nth an <br /> estimated % in change orders that were owner changes or construction issues, <br /> Mr. May indicated that a budget of$2 million is feasible for the total project <br /> scope. Construction has been initially estimated to cost in a range of$1354150 <br /> per square foot. <br /> Wallace,Floyd, Associates has the resources available to commit to i ashp e5s <br /> project informed Mr. May. Our firm will re-frame the project and issues to <br /> allow the committee to envision the project in a different perspective. <br /> Several fire station projects similar to MAshpee include the Ledford E-911 <br /> facility,Boston and Waterton Fire Stations,, and the Newton Police <br /> Headquarters. The $2.2 million dollar Attleboro project has not been approved <br /> by town meeting to date informed 11th. May. <br />
