MASHPEE ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS
MEETING MINUTES
APRIL 11, 2018
Board Member, Scott Goldstein read a letter from Attorney Kirrane into the record
requesting a continuance until April 25, 2018. Mr. Goldstein made a motion to continue
the hearing as requested. Mr. Blaisdell seconded, yes, Mr. Furbush, yes, Mr. Pittsley, yes,
Mr. Gould, yes, and Ms. Sangeleer, yes. All were in favor.
NEW HEARINGS
4 Katian Way: Owners, Gilbert R. and Amanda M.Ricci, request a Variance under §174-
3 1
174-
31 of the Zoning Bylaws to vary the rear lot line to allow for an addition on property located
in an R-5 Zoning District,Map 2 Parcel 152,Mashpee,MA. (Rescheduled due to weather).
The homeowners represented themselves for their petition. They have an existing 12' x 12'
existing three season room, and would life to change it to a 16' x 24' addition. The Board
reviewed the plan and discovered that it did not need a Variance because the setbacks were
15 ft. from the sides and rear, and the applicants have 20 ft. which is plenty of space to
build.
An abutter had a question about the location of the property lines. He reviewed the
submitted plot plan and was satisfied with what he reviewed.
Mr. Goldstein made a motion to withdraw 4 Katian Way. Mr. Pittslcy, seconded, yes, Mr.
Gould, yes, Mr. Furbush, yes, and Mr. Blaisdell, yes. All were in favor.
593 Main Street: Owner,Paul C.Tragiannopoulos requests a modification to an approved
Variance (V-10-45) to allow for an attached 12' x 16'.9" shed at the rear of the existing
garage building on property located in an R-5 Zoning District, Map 20 Parcel 2,Mashpee,
MA. (Rescheduled due to weather).
Mr. Tragiannopoulos represented himself for the petition. He wants to get approval for the
shed that was built without a permit. The Board determined he needed a 2.2 ft. variance for
the shed, but they could not approve something that was not permitted after two years.
Chairman Furbush polled the Board members and all members voted against the petition
because the deck was built without a permit.
100 Falmouth Road: Owner, Timothy W. Leedham, Trustee -- T&C Nominee Trust
requests a modification to a Special Permit(SP-86-10-85), (SP-90-87), and (SP 00-147)to
raze aft existing 1,350 sq. ft. commercial use building located in the rear of the lot, and to
construct an addition consisting of 6,363 sq. ft. to the remaining commercial use building
situated on the site.
