Fire Station Building Committee <br /> Minutes <br /> October 11, 1999 <br /> Present: Joyce Mason, George Baler,Dr, Elizabeth Petti, George Weak <br /> Absent: Peter Thomas, Joseph Peltier <br /> Guests: James May—Project Architect <br /> Elias McQuaid—Board of Health Agent <br /> Meeting Called to Order by Chairman Mason at 1:05 p.m. <br /> Town Mall, Conference Room 1. <br /> 'ES: <br /> Wednesday,-September 22 1999: <br /> Motion made by Mr. Baker to approve the minutes o <br /> Wednesday, September 22, 1999 as presented. <br /> Motion seconded by Dir.Petti. <br /> OTE.* Unanimous. 3-0. <br /> Mr.Weniak abstained. <br /> REPORT OF THE BOARD OF HEALTH AGENT: <br /> Elias McQuaid,Board of Health Agent met with members of the Fire <br /> Station Building Committee for the purpose of discussing the existing <br /> capacity of the Title V septic system and the quotes obtained for <br /> tight tank pumping fees. <br /> Mr. McQuaid submitted a memorandum to the Committee dated <br /> October 1 , 1999 with respect to this regard. (enclosed) <br /> As noted,the existing Title le septic system with a capacity of <br /> 1 592 gallons per day is deemed adequate for the subject site location <br /> which is shared by the Police and Fire Departments. <br /> Nater usage figures reflect the Fire Department using 555 gallons per day, <br /> and the Police Department utilizing 333 gallons per day. The total usage <br /> per day is 888 gallons and is therefore capable to handle the expansion o <br /> the Fire Department indicated Mr. McQuaid. <br />
