J
Masl pce Public Library
GREAT NECK ROAD
MASHPEE. MASS. 02648
•
7
Librarian's Report - December, 1989
During the month of December 560 materials were circulated.
These included 323 adult volumes, 124 juvenile titles,
45 paperbacks, 62 magazines, 6 films. 0£ these materials
37 were from interloan.
A Kelvinator dehumidifier has been obtained for the lower
level. It was in storage at Town Hall, .and seems to be in
good workingpondition. s- t 'if✓
Girl Scout and Brownie groups supplied the Christmas tree for
. the library, and made the decorations for it. A group from
: the Mashpee Child Development preschool group enjoyed a
holiday story hour. Classes from the school will visit the
library several more times this year.
Catalog file cabinets and bases have arrived. The book
shelving for the lower level should arrive early in February.
Cadet scouts and their leader have offered to help move books
when the lower level is ready.
• Reference books and a selection of gardening books from the
'Garden Club have been received and shelved.
Statistics for the year 1979 are attached to this report,
as well as an outline of expenses for the first six months
of fiscal year 1979-1980. Indications are that the largest
increase in the library budget for the 1980-81 fiscal year will
be in the area of energy.
Gloria Selander
Librarian
