Page 4 <br /> SECTION 6 Forthwith upon receipt of an application under the <br /> provisions of section five the commission shall examine such <br /> application and any facts, estimates or other information relative <br /> thereto, and shall determine whether the proposed construction <br /> is in the best interests of the city or town with respect to <br /> its site, type of construction, sufficiency of accomodations and <br /> A <br /> otherwise, rf, in its opinion, such proposed construction should <br /> be undertaken, the commission shall determine the approved cost <br /> of such construction, which cost may be equal to the est' mated cost <br /> furnished by such city or town or a lesser amount. For the <br /> purpose of determining the approved costs of construction, the <br /> commission shall from time to time by regulation establish maximum <br /> unit costs of construction. <br /> Within ninety days after receipt of such application <br /> the commission shall notify such city or town of its approval or <br /> rejection thereof, and, in the event of its rejection, of the reasons <br /> therefor. Notice of approval hereunder shall be accompanied by <br /> a statement of the approved cost as determined by the commission <br /> and an estimate of the amount of the library construction grant <br /> to which such city or town may be entitled under the provisions of <br /> b <br /> this act. The final approved cost shall be determined the commission <br /> within a reasonable time after the acceptance of the completed <br /> project by the local governing authority. <br /> SECTION 7 In allocating .funds under the provisions of this act, <br /> the commission shall give priority to library construction projects <br />
