Towner (due to illness <br /> Ii Minutes : The minutes of the January 14 meeting were accepted. <br /> III Reports <br /> } A. Librarian : The Librarian ' s report was accepted as read. <br /> The smaller circulation for January 1985 . January 1984 <br /> was due , in part , tothefact that the library was closed <br /> for one day because of excessive snow. <br /> B . Friends : Mrs ., Fordham wa snot present because she is <br /> hospitalized and recuperating from surgery. - The Friends <br /> proposed mailing in support of the May 6 Town Meeting <br /> Tarrant article for the new library is being planned. <br /> Letters will be mailed on March 25 , with return date of <br /> April 12 . "Ads' will appear in the newspapers the week <br /> f April 29 . <br /> C. Building WCommittee : At the last commit tee meeting , <br /> Mr . Shaughnessy reported that Mary Burgarella has retired <br /> from the Mass . Board of Library Commissioners ; and <br /> Mr . plough i no longer with that office . Mr. Robert Dubin <br /> is now in charge of funding. Any Federal monies available <br /> under Title Il for library construction will have to be <br /> matches by the states . Only $588 ,973 is available to the <br /> Commonwealth . <br /> IV 01&dBusiness <br /> A. Library Biud t : There was extended discus ion on budget <br /> figures . The town was late in sending memoranda <br /> regarding a 3 percent cost of living increase , and changes <br /> in funding of special supplies . <br /> rThe Librarian ' s salakyyfor fiscal ' 86 will include <br /> a step increase , a 3 percentcost of living adjustment , <br /> and an additional three hours per week as voted in the <br /> January 14 Trustees meeting. The Librarywages account <br /> will include the step increase , a 3 percent cost of living <br /> increase for Library Aide and Library Assistant ; and an <br /> additional three yours a week for the Library Assistant . <br />
