To: Board of Library Trustees FROM* Diane A. Kingsley, Librarian DATE: August 1 , 1986 RE: Changes in Personnel. Administration Plan Attached is a copy of a PAP memo dated 7/30/86. Changes have been made to the PAP since my contract was signed on 6/9/86 . I would like to request an addendum to my contract to bring the benefits regarding vacation, bereavement leave and longevity into line with the most recent PAP. The charges are outlined below. VACATION Contract: 1 day for -each month during the year PAP: 1-3 years 1 day for each month worked in the previous fiscal year 4-10 gears-- 1 days for each month. . . after- 10 -- 2 days for each month. . . Contract: "Vacation leave may not be carried over- or accumulated -,from one fiscal year to another. " PAS,: "Employees can accumulate -fifty percent ( 50% ) of the vacation dans credited based on service in a prior fiscal year up to a maximum of ten ( 10 ) days. "' Contract: --- PAP: __PAP: "Employees who are eligible for vacations and whose services are terminated by retirement, by entrance into the Armed Forces,- by resignation or by termination for reasons other than '"for cause" shall be paid a pro-rated accrued vacation allowance. This a ment shall be reduced by any leave charged against vacation tine. 11 BEREAVEMENT LEAVE Contract: employer will grant three ( ) working dans leave with pair, starting with the dr after the death. . . . immediate family shall mean:: wife, husband, mother, father,, child, brother, sister, mother-in-law, or father-in--law and grandparents,. " PAP: "A. In the event of a death in an employee ' s immediate family, the Town will grant up to four 4 calendar days leave without loss of pair starting with the day f the death. For the purpose of this provision, immediate family shall mean: wife, husband, mother, father, child, and brother or sister. B. An employee will be granted up to two ( 2 ) calendar dans leave without loss of pair in the event of a death f a brother-in-law, sister-in-law, mother-in-law, father-in-law, or grandparents. " "
