Behavior Policy: (Continued) Anton Buschenfeldt moved that the behavior- policy be accepted as written. G. Selander seconded the motion. All in favor. Motion carried, B, Library Development Plan, Long Range Plan : B* DeFoe ex- plained that this would be presented to the Board of Library Commissioners by October 1, 1994 . Helene sug- gested that the trustees review her draft of the Long Range Plan for recommendations and changes . Discussion followed. G. Selander moved to approve the Long Range Plan, Anton Buschenfeldt seconded. All in favor. Motion carried* Helene explained that this was an internal document for would know where we were the library' s use, s that we goingfor the next three years, The State required, i order to be eligible for state aid, that this document be in by October 1, 19946 A copy of this document will be submitted to the board of selectmen, so that they would be aware of the library' s plan. , Sub-Regional Meeting : Helene reported that the Mashpee Library had hosted a sub-regional meeting last week which included all of the libraries from this end of the Cape. This r is meeting was called primarily to discuss the upcoming State budget for fiscal 1996 . Delivery was one of the services provided by the States One major problem for the libraries on the cape is that geographically o ra hicall they are far removed from each other, the hours of operation are vastly different, whi h makes the deliveries very .inefficient and expensive. The State has come up with a plan to provide lock-boxes for the libraries which would be for the use of the libraries , as well as the currier service. This would enable the libraries to put their outgoing books out at right, and empty it in the morning. By doing that► they hope - to - inaugurate on-board or'tig. The state is willing to provide these boxes for library that will use them. This will require the any authorize installation of a trustees to take a vote t lock-box.
