Shaughnessy suggested that they might .-.i <br /> want to consider changing their thinking; to gust leave this building <br /> s it stands and create another building rather than change the existing <br /> building, <br /> Discussion relative to expansion plans followed. <br /> Discussion of need for ad-ditional storage space until the expansion of the <br /> building materialized. <br /> Discussion of shelving for the storage room. <br /> M. Marsh suggested that they keep these matters on a back burner to be brought <br /> up fairly often. <br /> V NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Report on stow damage from Edouard: Helene reported that the library had <br /> lost a few shingles off of the ridge of the roof. Ray Martini will check to <br /> see if he can find a match so that they can be replaced. <br /> Helene reported that. she had emptied the book drop before the week-end in <br /> consideration of the storm. When she returned after the stow, here were <br /> about 50 or 60 items in the book drop-. . The wind had blown the shoot open <br /> and water had accumulated. There was. a spnge on the bottom and everything <br /> was Bret. They were able to dry out everything except for one paperback <br /> which was a loss and one video which Helene seat out to see if it could b <br /> salvaged. <br /> Native American Collection - about 400 pieces: Helene reported that she <br /> would be willing to do. a test pilot on the Native American Collection to <br /> see what kind of reports they would generate. She had finished coding the <br /> collection. In that group of materials she' had used 20 code numbers related <br /> to subjects. For instance, they 'had items on religion, items on the law, <br /> some on sociology and history. The committee will meet next. week and Helene <br /> will discuss what had been done.
