SELENE DEFE, LIBRARY DIRECTOR <br /> CHARLOTTE FANEUIL <br /> ANTON BSCEFELDT <br /> CHERYL RAWER <br /> DREA ROBERTSON <br /> M MI RSH <br /> GLORIA SELANDER <br /> DICK SHAGHNESSY <br /> Ii MINUTES OF PREVIOUS US MEETING. <br /> The minutes of September I. , 1996 were accepted as read. <br /> III REPORTS <br /> A. Library Director: Helene DeFoe reported that it had been another busy month, <br /> totalling 7,444 iters, over 900 more than last September. The story hour <br /> has been rescheduled for Monday mornings. Patrdns have been asked to regis- <br /> ter. The story hour has been very well received. <br /> One of the teachers from K. C. , Coombs School called to ash if they could ar- <br /> range for the first grades to visit the library in groups. Three Wednesday <br /> afternoons were scheduled for these visits. The children who had library <br /> cards were able to select- a book to take out. <br /> The library has been very active this month. <br /> B. Friends of the Library: The book sale netted over $150.00. <br /> The Friends are going to participate in Gctoberfest this year. They plan <br /> to do a combination book sale of the better books and try to register some <br /> new people as Friends. "There will be a set-up for this purpose in the <br /> Commons. <br /> C. Other: M. Marsh explained that there had been discussion -relative to clos- <br /> ing the library on Monday, November 4th so that all library personnel would <br /> be able to attend the Cape Cod Library Club. <br /> Helene suggested that she should arrange to have Gerta, Kathy and. Marge at- <br /> tend the Cape Cod Library Club Meeting. Helene had story hour advertised <br /> for that day and that would be the last session before the holiday. Helene <br /> explained that she would try to recruit a couple of extra volunteers to <br /> cover for the personnel who will be absent. <br /> IV COMMUNICATIONS: <br /> A. The revised list of Selectmen Liaisons came out October It. The library <br /> has been assigned a new liaison, Fancy C of f n, for this year. <br /> B. Notice of Cape & Islands Library Association Workshop in Chatham on Satur- <br /> day, <br /> at r- <br /> day, October 19th. <br />
