LIBRARY TRUSTEES FEBRUARY 253, 199 PAGE 11''Y V NEW LIBRARY SIGNS ON ROTATES 28 and 151: Mimi Marsh -reported that there were two new library signs. Mimi suggested that Cheryl Hawver send a "Than you" to Greg Taylor* V LATEST- INF R ATI N OBTAINED ON SHELVINGFOR THE LIBRARY: Anton passed out copies of price quotations, storage and filing solutions, and schematics relative to Systematics, Inc, for the trustees review and approval. Anton explained the schematics to the meeting. Anton further explained that they had two good bids totalling approx. $8,9000& -A third bid will be needed. VI NEW TRUSTEECANDIDATES: Mimi Marsh reported, Carlo D d'Este will run for Toni 'Robertson's position on the board. Helene a plained that Carlo was an,-excellent speaker. David Burton will run for Dick Shaunessy's vacant position on the board. Helene felt that he would be a positive candidate. Mimi reminded Cheryl. Hawver to renew her papers. VII OTHER: Dick Shaughnessy turned over to Helene a newsletter from the Glastonbury, Connecticut Public Library as .a sample newsletter for the future newsletter the Mashpee Library was ,going to prepare. Dick also reported that relative to the $1.5,000 capital expenditure iter for the architectural study in two gears, he suggested that he did not thin that 1995 would be too soon to start the discussion of who would constitute the committee, and to put word out to the townspeople so that they would become conditioned to the idea of the future expansion to the library. r- Discussionlollowed. +. vlll NEW BUSINESS* Mimi Marsh suggested it would be necessary to update the long-gauge plan. Please think about items for April. meeting. Discussion by the Board for a luncheon for Toni Robertson: M. Marsh explained that at the last meeting, Richard Shaughnessy and Toni Robertson indicated that they would not renew their memberships for another tern. Toni was three months short of twenty years service to the Mashpee Library., Mimi wanted to discuss planning a luncheon for Toni. Mimi -had already dis- cussed this idea with Toni, and had a date cleard,Sturday, march 29th at 1:30 p. m. Mimi suggested to the board a gift of a set of -book-ends, A restaurant has not yet been decided upon.
