Children ' s Mini-grant : Helene reminded the meeting that last �. sparing shes-ubmitted a g,ran.t application for $6 , 000 to put towards early childhood programming for children under SIX gears old . Out grant was -written aiming for the ander -three year olds . Part of the guidelines was they did not want you to do more of what you were already doing . They wantedsome- thing new, We have never - done children # s programming below the Aga of three , so this woul.d. allow us to buy materials , to start a parenting progr-am, to do more outreach, to open more child-care centers in - town. Helene was very . pleased to advise- the meeting that the grant - had been approved . - Helene -had . had a -nice phone call from the Board of Library Commissioners . Change of library hours : Helene explained that we had been discussing looking at changing the hours lith the idea that e would like to add, m - Erida.y ofterno'on hours . The sched- ule Helene has come up with is as follows : Mondays and Wedl- nesdays , 9 - 5 . Tuesdays and . Thursdays, .1- . Fri a 1-5 , Saturdays 9-1 . . 'These hours will be eff-ective the week of October 13th.
