Last Paragraph, lst sentence : .'Woman. ' name is <br /> Rae Dell Record . <br /> The minutes of January 5 , 1999 accepted as corrected . <br /> III REPORT FROM FRIENDS OF T-HE MASHPE LIBRARY <br /> Rose Sharer , President of the Friends reported that they had had <br /> a wonderful success in teras of spirit and feelings of camaraderie <br /> for the piano recital . Father .Tosti was very charming. Rose re- <br /> ported that she had feelings of support from members of the com- <br /> munity . Apart from all of that , interms of- what money was made, <br /> was very little, They found that the quality printing they had <br /> dome was quite costly . The other large expense was postage to <br /> which they had had a very poor response. In addition'. the cost <br /> of setting up the reception at the end of the recital , which was <br /> lovely. Everything was quality , which did drain their funds , so <br /> that they did not 'make the money that they had hoped to rake . <br /> Teri reported that she had, had seventeen calls on her phone the <br /> following day , several from volunteers for anything that we <br /> 1 ht do in the fu'tur'e <br /> i <br /> Carlo made the suggestion that we, as the board send Mr. Rosea <br /> note of thanks . Carlo, state_ d that he would be happy to `write <br /> it , if he was given Mr. Rosen' s address , Strictly from the <br /> Board of Trustees '. Town of Mashpee. <br /> Mimi thanked Rose for all of her efforts in organizing the <br /> concert , <br /> Iv LIBRARY DIRECTOR REPORTS : <br /> Helene passed out the December -1998 report which she had promised <br /> us at the January meeting . December was a pretty busy month, <br /> over 7 , 000 items . They had also issued 76 new library cards . <br /> Helene explained that she had attended a Planning Grant Workshop <br /> early in December , for the grant that was due late inJanuary. <br /> It turned out to be a fair amount of work which coincided with <br /> the budget period . Ann Larsen who was the joint presenter at <br /> this workshop paid a visit to the library .. ' She had visited all <br /> of the libraries that had submitted letters of intent for this <br /> grant to get a better idea of what our situation was , so that <br />
