i - LIBRARY TRUSTEES 2/ 9/99 A G TWO Iv LIBRARY DIRECTOR REPORTS : when she received your application,, she -might have a clearer idea of the areas you were describing if she had seen it ., Helene continued that sh.e had spoken to. Ann Larsen once -since then relative to the art iclea that we had to submit in c.onjunc- t ion ,with th-e grant . Part - of the .grant recurcement was that your submit two articles . The first one be town Meeting- approves of your submitt..ing this planning grant ., and they know that you are undertaking a construction project * Th.e second article was that you can accept. the grant and expend it which., as Dick found out the .hard way- when they originally triad to. build this building , and went through the business of applying for the grant , and thea the Town rejected it . The time- fra`Me for that ; it was due the last week of January. It will prob- ably be sometime .into April before we know if we have received or did not receive it . There were probably 33 or 34 who actually applied . Figures for ,January 1999 , circulation for the month was 71, 847 items . The detailed information- will be included with next month' s report . The library ' s budget was submitted on ,January 8th. Helene met with Bob C hritenour and ' Diane - ommelmeyer - on February 1st to re- view what was submitted in ' our budget . Helene felt Bob ,was very supportive of what they were lookin'-g for , and understood why they needed the increases they needed . Helene felt it was a good meet- ing which she left on a very positive note .
