It .wa.s discussed that diversity also included <br /> men, women, old people,- -disabled people,. different religions <br /> and ethnic - b ckg ounds . .. If- people do- not- feel welcome in <br /> o x department, they. are apt, t-o not use y.our� services'. elene <br /> found this meeting viary worthwhilew <br /> VIII REQUESTS FOR PROPOSALS FOR THE STUDY <br /> HeleneaA orrted it had been advertised -in the Central Register <br /> and other publications the end of May. The deadline for archi- <br /> tects or engineers to submit a proposal. is June 18th, Friday, <br /> June 11th, Helene will open the building at 9 a. M. for anyone <br /> who plans to submit a proposal on the a pansi.on will have the <br /> opportunity to view the building . That had been suggested by <br /> the Board of Library Commissioners- so that the library would not <br /> have people cal.ing at all hours -of the day', and disrupting Helene' s <br /> schedule. Hopefully, some good proposals will .be submitted . <br /> k <br /> Helene a p-lained that the Board of Selectmen was the awarding <br /> authority on any contract in the Town. <br /> Helene suggested that Gary submit his letter promptly if he <br /> wanted to work on the building committee and offer to assist <br /> going throughthe selection process . n - the commi.ttee. This <br /> must be awarded before. the end of the fiscal year (.June 30th) <br /> so they were operating on a very tight time-frame.
