Rusiness , <br /> Line 5 , discussing th.e Internet Policy, substitute the word , <br /> its*teat on" f r poli.cyre <br /> Minutes accepted with correction. <br /> III REPORTS ; <br /> Library Director : ffelene Defoe reported that July h-ad been an <br /> extremely busy month, Circulation for the month. of July 1999 <br /> totaled 121, 932 items . This- was a new record for th.e month of <br /> *July. There was one day when 900 items w%ere circulated w <br /> Attached is- a copy of the Library Di-rector ' s complete report - <br /> which h-a - been distributed to the meeting. <br /> Friends of the Library: Rosa Shanker reported on the event <br /> for their volunteers - the cruise to Martha ' s vineyard which, <br /> wont very well <br /> Together with Janet Burke, th-e Children ' s Librarian , -they had <br /> done two programs : On July 2 the Storyteller Elisa P e main, <br /> which worked out very well . They had their mystery event f o r <br /> their volunteers which also went very well <br /> Rose reported that they planned to have . a wind-up summer book- <br /> sale Saturday, August 14th. For this sale they are advertising <br /> that all hard-cover books will. be 50ir,% , which had formerly been <br /> selling for one and two dollars . They rued to make room for <br /> new acquisitions in September . <br /> The South Cape Quartet will present a chamber music concert <br /> at on August 21st at the Mashpee Library. Enclosed i <br /> a flyer with all of the particulars . <br /> No report on finances was available. - <br /> Rose also reported on Milton Glass- „program on h.ea'lt.h;.- -.H:e 'als-o <br /> discussed th.e opportunities for education' and travel'-in <br /> Elderhos'tel for people 50 years- of age 'and ov'er'. - rr., Class-- hasagreed to return for anoth-er pro .ram for' all of th.os-e w- .o were <br /> unable to attend , <br />
