Carlo commended the friends for <br /> doing a fantastic job. <br /> Iv OLD BUSINESS : <br /> Building Committee Appointed : David Burton reported that t the . <br /> Building Committee was appointed . We have six who have volun- <br /> teered and Grace Talmage has recently submitted a letter of <br /> interest * <br /> David will meet with Joyce Mason tomorrow to schedule the re- <br /> cuired notice a public meeting . s early as next Tuesday, <br /> to schedule the first meeting and review the study proposals . <br /> They will elect a chairman at that time . <br /> There had been some discussion about having the Ma hpee om-mons <br /> representativespresent at tonight ' s meeting . They are now <br /> scheduled to attend our September 14th meeting , which should <br /> work out well since they will have had their building committee <br /> meeting behind there. <br /> V NEW BUSINESS-9 <br /> Yankee Magazine - ommunity partners program: David explained <br /> that he had brought -up a discussion relative to YANKEE MACAZINE <br /> perh.aps a year ago . David f eft it made a ton of sense. You can <br /> et a subscription to YANKEE EE for $20 . 00 . The subscribers re- <br /> ceive their subscription; they receive the YANKEE MAGAZINE; <br /> E; <br /> THE OLD FARMER'S ALMANAC , a pretty good value. David explained <br /> that YANKEE would come right to the 1i.bratry to make a presenta- <br /> tion <br /> r nta- <br /> tion to us ; there are savings certif ic,ates , . * . 4 David suggested <br /> it w-as just one other thing w-e can add to our tool chest - right <br /> up at the circulation desk - "Subscribe to Yankee" .
