A copy of the library director ' s 'report <br /> is attached hereto , and. becomes part of the minutes . <br /> Helene reported that the board of selectmen appointed a <br /> building committee. A sub-committee was also established to <br /> review the proposals . Gary Eynatian, Ed DeFoe and Helene wi1 <br /> ll <br /> check references of the group ,. <br /> Friends of the Library ; Rose Shanker was absent this evening , <br /> however', she had forwarded her report to Helene. Rose ' s <br /> report indi aced that the Friend ' s membership had increased <br /> from 165 to 213 . <br /> The Friends of the Library plan - to publish their- second <br /> quarterly newsletter in late October. The Friends will welcome <br /> any writin-gs .from the trustees ; any news from the building <br /> committee progress as well <br /> Boo sale . on October 4th brought in $147 . 00 . There will be <br /> monthly book.sal.es through this fall <br /> The Chamber of Commerce has arranged to have a Ma hpee calen- <br /> dar <br /> alen-dar of Events supplement printed - in the MASHP'EE ENTERPRISE . �• <br /> Following a successful silent auction. of donated paintings , <br /> the Friends -h-ave undertaken a new activity that should bring <br /> in more revenue. An artist of the month program will be <br /> coordinated by Sunny Merritt . <br /> A--'.program of events was passed out to the meeting . <br /> Library Building Committee : Ed DeFoe : Ed Defoe reported that <br /> the-, committee was up and running .
