Helene ex- plai.ned that she had only been back since early th-is after- noon, therefore sh.e had no written report prepared . Helene e. plalned that the li.brary is a member of a cooperative through their re i_'on where they receive a better discount on materials than . if they made the purchases as individuals'. Helene ways- very appreciative that Janet p :.c .c.d up on that wh.il-e Helene was on vaat ion David asked if h.e may write JanetBurk-e a mote of appreciation on behalf of the tr stees . Janet Burke , Children ' s Librari.an ; Janet had a very busy month. She took- the month. off from programming except for few outreach - vi,sits to nursery schools . She also attended some educational workshops . Helene _has. also .pleased to see from Janet ' s 'report that -she was able to -meet with the Direc- tor - of irec- tor - of urricul'um, and received a draft copy of" the children ' s requixed read i,ng for the summer so that the library could order th.es-e lo.tems now. Diana Lincoln has been hired th-rough the ashp-ee Community Partnership to assist with various programs here at the li- brary working with Janet Burke.. Janet has advised Helene that Willow Bend has agreed to fund the expenses of a pass to the Museum of Science for - the Library. Janet also h.ad Katie Baxter, the youth services person from Seamless visit the library . Katie_-acts• as. a consultant for ideas or help where "needed .
