The 8/8/00 date had been incorrectly indicated <br /> on the 7/11./00 meeting agenda, <br /> Minutes accepted with correction. <br /> III REPORTS : <br /> I . Library Director : Helene DeFoe explained that yesterday, 5 <br /> of the staff was out , and it was an - extremely busy Monday , <br /> 930 items . The library has had about five very difficult <br /> weeks , <br /> There were over 131, 000 items for t-he month with close to <br /> 3 ,, 000 circulation in three days . 197 new library cards were <br /> applied for last month. <br /> Hele-ne stated that she had received an e-mail last week <br /> The Construction Grant . round tat they had been discussing <br /> will become a realit y . The documentation arrived on Mon- <br /> day . The Letter of Intent is . due .1.0/2/00. Along with - that <br /> they must include their completed -buildii g program. Before <br /> they can submit the building program must be on file and <br /> approved . Therefore,- they will be - working toward. the best <br /> application they can prepare. <br /> A couple of other documents-- are due ,September .1st , State <br /> Aid . froze the Board of Library Commissioners . Those are <br /> based upon having a couple of reports submitted , due around <br /> Labor Day. Helene will be working on those in the next two <br /> weeks . <br /> David Barton thanked Helene and her staff on behalf of the <br /> tustees . David explained that he had been in the library <br /> n a couple o f those extremely busy days , and he observed <br /> what they - ac.complish with what they have here here is just <br /> ama' in . <br /> 2 , Ch-ild ren' s Libr-ar ian ;- Copies of Janet Burke ' s month1v report <br /> to Helene were passed out to the trustees for their review. <br />
