This would require a new contract. <br /> They are the only ones who ,can authorize contracts. <br /> B. children' s- Librarian: .Attached is Janet .Burke s report. to <br /> Helene- dated June 1, - 2001. <br /> .C. Friends of the Library: Jim Walker presented copies of 'the <br /> Friends. cook books which -were passed around to the meeting <br /> for their review. The coobools were prepared to earn <br /> revenue for .the building fund, <br /> Jim also reported that Cindy Parker had applied for a spot <br /> on the cape Cod Internet, community -Bulleting Board which <br /> allows cape Cod non-profit businesses to advertise. <br /> D. WHAT' S COOKING AT T B. Mashpee Library? : The Mashpee <br /> Artisian Fair is scheduled for Saturday, August 11th, with <br /> the lobster luncheon. <br /> B. Discussion r latiVe to Library Schedule: Helene explained ' <br /> that last year the Mashpee -Library had opened for a full <br /> day- on Friday, and they were closed to regular library <br /> business on Saturday of the Artisian. Fair week-end. <br /> Mimi Marsh made. a motion that they delay the opening of <br /> the library from 1: 00. p. m. t 2 : o- p. m., with respect to <br /> the memorial for Ann Tanneyhill. Seconded'. All in favor. <br /> So moved. <br /> IV OLD BUSINESS: David explained that the- tax bill insert had gone <br /> out. There had been only positive feed.-back received. <br /> Donations havee -ce in since that went out to the tune of <br /> between $1,100 and $1,200M. .our library dir-ector has been <br /> contacted, Helene, as, an employee bf the Town, can be , a <br /> contact, -but she will refer then to the' appropriate people. <br /> David .has -been in contact with two parties who wanted to <br /> talk about a naming opportunity and a donation. <br /> V NEWBUSINESS: <br /> The role of the Library Trustee: . The Trustee Handbook. David <br /> will rake sure Ann MacDonald receives -a copy of this handbook. <br /> David also explained that he had a .ynopsi of our updated rolls. <br /> here, There is also a copy of the Bir--laws when the board of <br /> trustees was established that David wanted to discuss with the <br /> board. copies of these documen=t.s were passed out to. the meeting, <br /> Discussion. <br />
