A copy of the, Library Director ' s complete, report attached to the minutes for yourinformation'* David thanked Helene DeF'oe for her efforts -in preparing . the application for the grant including -all of the accom- panying documents. 2 Children ' s Librarian : Attached are copies of ,J'a.net Burke ' s monthly reports to Helene DeFoe for the months of September and October, . FRIENDS : .Jim Walken, president of the Friends reported that the book ale (during the October Fest) brought in over $200. ,Jim stated that the main proposal at their meeting eras, they were looking for more Friends . They needed a pub- licity person very badly . They also meed a volunteer , a person itis off ice skills who .has the abi' lit r to organize minutes and all of thein records . ,Jim added that Milton Glass will speak at the Christ the King Church Hall. on Friday , October 19th, 7 to 9 p . m. on the subject of Elder Hostel on behalf of the Friends . This information will be posted in the church bulletin.
