David mentioned they'd like to kick- <br /> off the book/author/luncheon in combination with Boo smith ... nice to do with one of <br /> our on". met meeting David mill bring copies of the Wall Street Journal article for-the <br /> Committee. <br /> New Business <br /> David reminded everyone that Library Staff undergoing training W1tb new CLAMS <br /> program and software. Right after Labor Day vie"ll be on the new system. Staff would <br /> like some practice time before the roll-out. Helene explained that CLAMS limited the <br /> number of people who could cone from each Library for training. Some people didn't <br /> get opportunity to practice. Following discussion,Mimi motioned that for 2 <br /> Wednesdays—narnely, August 21 and August 28—the-tire Library close 1/2day to enable <br /> staff to train on CLAMS system. The Library to open from 1-5 on these 2 dates. Also,, at <br /> the discretion of the Librarian, if necessary to close Tuesday, September 3 and 1 day <br /> Wednesday, September 4, thea Library authorized to do so. Ann seconded this motion; <br /> and it was unanimously passed. <br /> Helene noted that write-up would be done in Mashpee Enterprise. <br /> Helene further stated that there would be a lot of training for Public as well. She said <br /> CLAMS is a Windows-based system.
