The pace of business was actually more than that total reflects. This is the first summer month vAth the longer video loan period. In previous years, videos were often renewed for an additional to days, which counted as a separate transaction. We have added tuners for each Interact station, which were purchased by the Friends of the Library. It has worked out quite well at monitoring scheduling at the Internet stations and has lessened problems in having.to ask someone to give a turn to the next patron. We-have continued sorra training sessions at CLAMS for the new circulation software. Unfortunately, it has been too busy here to train the rest of the staff`on the new system. I have spoken to David about closing for some times later this. month to let the staff learn the new system prior to the svVitchover 9/4. 1 am attending a CLAMS membership meeting 14 and will be getting an update on the scheduled changes. our last day on the current system Is 813 1. The full system is supposed to Borne up 9/4. A number of libraries are planning t close 913 and some are closing 9/4 too. I will find out more details about their reasons for closing tomorrow. I would like to tentatively plan to close 9 and perhaps 94 based on the information I receive about what parts of the new system will be available those days. Staff would still work- those days on trairxing issues but vire wouldn't be open to the public. The town is providing new signs for library hours and along Rt. 15 1. The hers signs have been completed and installed. During July, $1,132.65 in overdue fines was collected and turned over to the Treasurer's office.
