r <br /> Ap- . <br /> BOARD OF LIBRARY TRUSTEES_ - <br /> i <br /> REGULAR MONT Y MEETING <br /> TUE SI A 9 NOVEMBER 129 2002 <br /> MAS111PIEE LIBRARY MEETING ROOM <br /> Present: Ann MacDonald-Dailey, Alice Rauppius,Dianna Smith,Mimi Marsh,David Burton, <br /> and Helene DeFoe,, Library Director. <br /> Absent: Carlo ' ste, and Gary Eynatian. <br /> David Burton, Chairman, call the meeting to order at 6:35 p.m. <br /> Arl of Minutes <br /> Ann MacDonald-Dailey motioned to accept the August 13 and October 8 minutes as presented <br /> and to enter the Dotes of Informal Session held September 10 into the record; Dianna Smith <br /> seconded the notion; and it was unanimously carried. <br /> Reports <br /> Helene DeFoe, Library Director, distributed copies of 2 reports from CLAMS--one for September <br /> and the other covering October—and pointed out comparisons between Mashpee and other <br /> libraries. Helene also explained they still don't have statistics they'once had because they <br /> switched software vendors and CLAMS has been extremely busy working out glitches, etc. so <br /> they have not had any opportunity to offer any training sessions on hove to manipulate the <br /> statistics. A copy of Janet urke's monthly report was also distributed. Helene mentioned that <br /> Janet finished the first grade visits. Copies of the reports are attached to the minutes. <br /> Helene advised she'd be interviewing all day tomorrow for the part-time clerical position. They <br /> had good response...22 applicants, which they've weeded down to 13 candidates. <br /> Library Assistant Grda Sano informed Helene she intends to retire probably by the end of the <br /> year. She's been here approximately 20 years. <br /> Helene said that Janice Wlford was interested in doing a cable session on how the building <br /> project is going. Today Kevin Connolly, Chairman of the Building Committee, and Helene were <br /> taped in a 1 hour interview with Janice. It will run tonight at 830 and Friday at 5-30 p.m. Next <br /> week it repeats at same time. Also, Helene said that in the next few days Janice will be doing a <br /> photo session inside the Library shoving by crowded the Library i . <br /> Helene said one question Janice asked that surprised her was: Library does not have a web site? <br /> David mentioned web site work done by Bob Kempf of Cape Cod Times.
