BOARD of LIBRARY TRUSTEES <br /> "r REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING -- <br /> - - - - <br /> —TUESDAY,UES Y, CT B I 1 ,2003 <br /> MASHPEE LIBRARY MEEMG ROOM <br /> Present: Carlo I ' ste,Alice Rauppius,David Burton,Diama Smith,Ani MacDonald-Dailey,Mimi Marsh, <br /> and Helene DeFoeP Library Director. <br /> Absent: Heather Lalcatos <br /> David Burton, Chairman,called the meeting to order at 6:50 p.m. <br /> David infonned the Trustees that the Bulilding Committee would be rneetmi g imrnedi.atel following this meeting <br /> and David encouraged those who could stag to please do so. <br /> Approval of Minutes <br /> Dianna Smith motioned to accept the minutes of the September 16,2003 meeting as written;Alice Rauppiu <br /> seconded the motion;and all voted in favor,except Arm MacDonald—Dailey,who abstained. <br /> Library Director"s Rea rt <br /> Helene Defoe discussed her September Report(copy attached to printed set of minutes). Helene noted that <br /> Friday closing is impacting circulation figures. <br /> Helene discussed in detail the issue of Sandwich pulling out of CLAMS and she distributed copies ofthe <br /> following 3 documents,all beim attached to printed set of these minutes: <br /> 1. September 26,2003 Sandwich Enterprise article; <br /> . October 8,, 2003 fax from Helene to David Burton;and <br /> . October 8.2003 letter to Sandwich Enterprise Editor from Martha l a ane,President,CLAMS Board <br /> of Directors. <br /> Libram.Staffing <br /> David mentioned that here was no feedback nor response from either the Board of Selectmen or Joyce Masan <br /> regarding the staffing shortages at the Library. The Trustees plan to attend the next Seleetnnen's meeting to <br /> spew with.the Board about a prompt resolution. <br /> o toberfest <br /> David noted that Cindy Parker and many people worked hard to make Lobster Roll a success at Oktoberfest <br /> event. He thanked all for their efforts. <br /> Next 1 I etio ...Since Tuesday,November I 1 is Veteran's Darr,the next regular meeting of the Board rd of <br /> Library Trustees will be held on Tuesday,November 18,2003,at 6:30 p.m. in Mashpee Library Meeting Room. <br /> Adjournment <br /> Ann motioned to adjourn the meeting;Diianna seconded this motion;and it was sly passed.
