Communications <br /> a- - <br /> 4 <br /> David advised that Mashpee Community Concert Committee will be holding Family Night and <br /> Movie Night Tuesday,July 27, and Thursday, July 29. Both events require closing part of Steeple <br /> Street. The Trustees discussed this impact on Library patrons and workers and it was the <br /> consensus that the Concert Committee be contacted and advised that we must keep the Library <br /> open both nights and therefore if they intend to close Steeple Street they are requested to <br /> underwrite a Folie detail until :10 p.m. so that Library access/departure not impeded. <br /> Old Business <br /> Ann advised haat the foes ming the July 24 Auction event are doing a gnat job. Theygot <br /> approved for one-day liquor license. Invitations were given to the Selectmen and to Town <br /> Manager,Joyce Mason. Ann gave each Trustee formal invitation to the event. <br /> New Business <br /> David advised he had a 2-hour meeting with Ted Nadolony. Some of the items discussed: <br /> Role of the Friends of the Library is to support the Library; do fund raising. <br /> Some of the Friends felt they were treated as errand boys,..this is not their role. <br /> Ted had idea to bring web site back. <br /> David asked Friends to put Mission Statement together. <br /> Friends looking to build membership. <br /> Storage Shed <br /> Owner of Shed would provide one at cost if he could have sign. <br /> "trustees to think about whether or not we should have the shed.
