Sheldon Gilbert and Helene DeFoe <br /> both attended the session. <br /> LBC Publicity Commhlee Report. <br /> Dave Burton reported that the Library Building Committee publicity sub-committee, chaired by Bonnie <br /> Barrett* has been very active during the past month. Sheldon Gilbert and Helene DeFoe appeared on <br /> Mashpee Focus, interviewed by JaniceWolford; information tables will be manned by LBC volunteers at <br /> Stop& Shop and Roche Brothers the weekends before Town Meeting and election might; posters with a <br /> rendering of the new library have been distributed to local banks, Boys& Girls club: Southport, <br /> 1Jarnpanoag Tribal Council, the Post office, Senior center and Mashpee Commons locales. <br /> telephone calf script will be used by LBC members to call 10 to 20 of their friends, urging them to get <br /> out the vote; presentations have been given to Mashpee Man's club, New Seabury Women's club, <br /> Mashpee rotary Club, and Mashpee Realtors' Group. LBC vol unteers will be stationed outside the <br /> school for both Town Meeting and Election might. A mass mailing will go out to all Mashpee residents <br /> with the message, "Vote YES for the New Library'. Delivery of the shed is several weeks away. Mr. Ralph Bartlett has saved us$2400 from <br /> the cost of a$5000 shed. <br /> • A ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Friday re-opening of the library was not well attended, bort <br /> nevertheless greeted happily by library regular customers. An announcement of the re-opening <br /> appeared in the Mashpee Enterprise. <br /> • The finance committee recently met with Sheldon Gilbert and Bonnie Barrett and have since <br /> recommended support of the $ . MM debt exclusion for the new library. <br /> NEW BUSINESS. <br /> oltoberfest included library information tables, thanks to efforts by Ann MacDonald Dailey. Sherry <br /> Bergeron is also to be thanked for her efforts to provide brownie sundaes for sale at the Oktoberfest. <br /> Sherry personally-baled 648 brownies, wrapped thea individually, and solicited donors for the ice <br /> cream, paper plates and spoons. A letter of appreciation will be sent to sherry from the Board of <br /> Trustees. <br /> 0 Oktoberfest Book sale yielded$600 to$700. Jim Walker, another unsung hero behind the success <br /> of this project, also was behind the idea for the storage shed for bows. Jim will be sent a letter of <br /> thanks for his dedication to the Mashpee Library. <br /> The next meeting of the Mashpee Library Board of Trustees was scheduled for Tuesday, November 9', <br /> 2004 at 6:30 PNS, at the Mashpee Public Library.
