'FiiWl-y,'Helene advised the Trustees that the Town is doing classification study on positions Mn 'own. A consulting fmn is doing a survey and each employee will be asked to fill in a questionnaire. Money was approved at the October'down Meeting to fund this study. After questionnaires completed then 2 people from the consulting firm will be conducting sampling interviews. Following discussion, it was decided that David should contact the Town Manager for feedback on unionized Library Staff, Ayiproval of Minutes Ann motioned to accept the mutes of the Meeting held January 112005 as presented;Dianna seconded the motion and it was unanimously passed. Communications David advised that the new Friends of the Library website would be operational tomorrow. David said Cape Cod Times provided the software and did so as a complimentary act. Helene explained the Website and what will be on the site. David also noted that letters have been generated and sent out to 166 individual who had responded to the Friends' donation letter asking for feedback of ways they could become involved in Friends' activities. Finally,David informed the'trustees that 13 individuals attended the informal meeting yesterday that Ted held in hopes of biding up Friends' volunteer cons. Old Business#Internet Access Poli ' Library Trustees reviewed the Library Policy and guidelines on this topic. It was the consensus that the policy in place is working,having dealt successfully with a recent incident. David suggested that in the new Library site we should perhaps have to ink about firewall being built into the computers. Budget FY 2006 Helene reported that Joyce recommends removing the extra funding for increasing Janet urke's hours in the budget because it has to get Town Meeting approval fn-st. Also in the budget the expenses figure was_lowered but Helene has to discuss restoring this money with Joyce. This money has to be fere to maintain the 16%materials expenditure required for state certification in the event the Article passes. ibriiry Newsletter Nancy Stafford asked the Trustees for their feedback on how to proceed with the Newsletter. She handed out a listing of the topics to be dealt with...copy of the listing is attached to the printed set of minutes of this meeting. Some of the points made during the discussion: • Marilynn Brooks of the Friends interested in working on the Newsletter. Nancy to contact Marilynn and also to contact Ted Nodolny, • Would Friends provide for printing: Also, perhaps business would sponsor this endeavor. Newsletter letter distributed to Members of Friends,, with copies to Library and to Chamber of Commerce. Circulation: Approximately 500. Tentative target date for first issue: April (Spring Issue) for National Library week.
