Ways& Means Day serves as a <br /> valuable forum for library advocates to articulate how critically important library buildings and <br /> programs are to the intellectual, cultural and social lives of the Commonwealth's presidents. <br /> This year, legislators are being urged to support the $75 million for funding of a new Public Library <br /> Construction Bond Bill, which is needed to provide funds for new library construction projects. ways <br /> Means Day provides a wonderful opportunity for representatives from libraries currently on the <br /> construction wait list to meet with their legislators in person. A strong library presence at the Mate <br /> Douse on February 1st will help to convince MA.legislators that library advocates are serious about <br /> providing the high levels of library service that the residents of Massachusetts expect.
