'BOARD OF,LIBRARY Y T1 i STEES � <br /> REGULAR MONTHLY MEE'T'ING <br /> r <br /> TUESDAY,JULY 11,2006 <br /> MASUPEE LIBRARY <br /> 7 <br /> I <br /> Present: David Burton, Carlo ' ste,Dianna Smith,Nancy Stafford,Heather Lakatos,Ann MacDonald- <br /> -Dailey arrived 6:45 P.M'.),Nancy Soderberg(arrived 6:45 p.m.), and Helene I eFoe, Library Director. <br /> I <br /> ..Invited Participants: Melinda Gallant, Consultant <br /> Bridget Bontrager, Library Staff Member <br /> Sheldon Gilbert, Chairman Library Building Committee <br /> .Chairman David Burton called the meeting to order at 6:40 p.m. <br /> Alayroval of Minutes <br /> Heather Lakatos motioned toaccept the minutes of June 13, 2006 as written;Dianna Smith seconded this <br /> emotion; and all Trustees present approved the motion. <br /> i <br /> i <br /> Fundr i <br /> Melinda Gallant addressed the Board reporting on fundraising efforts and providing updates. Melinda advised <br /> that she had a meeting with Bill Hough of Falmouth Publishing group and had also asked Janice walford t <br /> pick up the cause of the new library for the Town of Mashpee. Melinda was pleased to report that fill Hough <br /> is officially making the new Library thcir cause. The result of this will be. <br /> * $20,900. of free advertising. <br /> They will kick-off on bricks and beaches. <br /> Will give editorial support. <br /> • will come out for the record in support of the new library. <br /> Every quarter they-will do a thank you and list those,who gage; pledges.count. <br /> The Trustees all were very pleased with this outcome and felt it was wonderful news. David mentioned he <br /> wrote Janice today and will start sending facts to her tomorrow. David will send a thank you note to Bill <br /> Hough. <br /> Melinda then addressed the following updates: <br /> Artisan's Fair...On track. A group of artisans will be giving a percentage of their proceeds to go <br /> against the challenge grant offered by the Mashp e Women's Club. <br /> Melinda met nth Buff Chace about a week ago and he and his wife are going to put together some sort <br /> of stakeholders gathering in the month of August. He said he will help however he can. <br /> Falmouth Road Race...Moving along nicely. David added that Friends bought sponsorship. }In <br /> addition, other Mashpee residents who have numbers hopefully Xll join library group and run together <br /> with Mahpee Friends of the Library being the beneficiary. <br /> Love Letters...Melinda said unfortunately they hit a snag because a professional theatre group is doing <br /> this performance on same nights we diose so we have now applied for August 24 through August 2 <br /> _ dates.- Melinda said she is sorry about this and she now has to go back .nc tell all contacts/advertisers <br /> the date is being changed. <br />
