OMMUM atlons <br /> dual._ 1�Legi lativ _Breakfast..-David distributed a flier announcing the 9th Annual Library Legislative Breakfast <br /> to be held Friday, February 23, 2007. David said people do get up and briefly speak to the group. Carlo will be one of <br /> the speaker's and teff what the library means to hien as a writer. Also,.Danny Burke(Janet Burke's son and a junior <br /> volunteer at Ilashpee Library)will also get up at the breakfast and say a few words. <br /> Old Business <br /> David advised that the Volunteer Appreciation coffee gathering was held December 15, 2006 and the volunteers were <br /> very appreciative of being acknowledged. David said we have 41. volunteers. <br /> The holiday luncheon for the staff was not able to be held in December so the Friends are going to do luncheon for the <br /> staff...perhaps February around Valentine's Day might be considered. <br /> Advisory Board...Nancy Soderberg asked for update on this group's meeting. Carlo sa*d it is hoped this group can get <br /> voters out...he personally d nks smaller groups can be more focused. <br /> Tom D*Neill...Nancy Soderberg asked whether or not request was sent to Tom regarding outstanding grant applications. <br /> David responded,that it was done and Tom responded with an Excel spreadsheet with number of organizations that can <br /> provide finds. David said g or 10 were highlighted to indicate we had either applied or were in process of applying. <br /> Tom said he pari in excess of$30,000 for the grant writing and only regretted that the 2 grant writers were unsuccessful. <br /> Tom was hoping he would have word by April l from some of the other organizations. David will forward the <br /> spreadsheet to the Trustees, <br /> Fundraising...Heather said that from the`"penny jug''rare praised 1732 this year and that was more than last year,which <br /> was$864. Also, Heather said that 13 of the$125 brigs have been ordered;2 or 3 of the larger bricks ordered;and 2 <br /> benches ordered. Feather said these have been ordered even though they are not doing anything actively until more <br /> information is available about the building. <br /> New Business <br /> Open Meetin -Law,..David asked Fancy Soderberg to do a presentation on The Open Meeting Lav brochure from <br /> District Attorney's Office at next Trustee Meeting. <br /> Trustee Terms—May Elections=. -Ann MacDonald-Dailey and Nancy Stafford are up for re-election this year.
