Draft Article to be Submitted for May-.2007 warrant <br /> The T'rustes then reviewed and discussed the roadmap to construction of the new library, along with a draft of <br /> an Article to be submitted for May-2007 Town Meeting warrant. It was noted that the deadline for submitting <br /> Articles for May Town Meeting is 4:30 p.m., February 12, 2007. Following lengthy discussion it was decided <br /> that the Trustees should submit the Article for May-2007 Town meeting. <br /> Motion: David Burton motioned that the Mashpee Board of Library Trustees approve and support the <br /> Petition Article to be submitted to May-2007 Town Meeting Warrant requesting Town to vote to <br /> appropriate an additional $2 Million to supplement a previously approved $15 Million debt exclusion <br /> bond authorization. Nancy Soderberg seconded this motion and the Trustees voted unanimously to <br /> approve the motion. In addition to the'trustees voting their approval of the intent of the drafted <br /> Article,the Trustees stated it is their hope that the drafted Article will be reviewed by 'ion Counsel <br /> and by any other informed persons for the correct legal wording of the Article by the February 12,2007 <br /> deadline for submission of Articles for the May-2007'horn Meeting warrant. <br /> Chainnan David id Burton will prepare the final drafted Article; will forward copies to the "Trustees; and will <br /> forward the Article to Town Manager with request that the draft be reviewed by Town Counsel and by any <br /> other informed persons to ensure the Article is placed on the May-2007 Town Meeting warrant. <br /> Communications <br /> 7thAnnual Trustees S)l sium:,_.David distributed an announcement of this symposium to be held Saturday, <br /> March 31,, 2007 in Boxborough. Several of the Trustees indicated they would be interested in attending. They <br /> will e-mail Helene. A copy of the announcement is attached to the printed set of these minutes. <br /> UbLM Staff Luncheon...David announced this will be held sometime in February. <br /> Next Meeting......Since a quorum would not be available to attend the March meeting on the second Tuesday of <br /> the month,the March meeting was scheduled for Thursday,March 8,2007, at 630 p.m. in Library Meeting <br /> Room. <br /> Adiournment,..
