Mashpee Public Library
P.O. Box 657
Mashpee, IIID 02649
Circulation
for September Zoo eras 982 Items. This month's circulation was
.
TD, the library has circulated 39,947 items, which is 312 items less than the
same point last year. September 2006 was a bit busier than this year 91 g its
more . Perhaps it is,due to ouf renewing DVDs and VHS tapes, We changed
Policies last spring to conform to other CLAMS locations. Prior to the charge,
these-items were non-renewable. That brought patrons-i -ori a weekly bases and
they usually checked out additional Items. If they are renewing by phone, that
might account for the somewhat lower total.
Bridget and I.attended a Visioning meeting for the CLAMS libraries on
September.12th. It was an opportunity to meet with other CLAMS librarians,, and
Network staff to discuss where we see CLAMS going in the future, Cindy Roach,
Director-of SEMLS, facilitated the meeting. After discussing the pluses and
minuses, it was agreed that we will focus in on the issues that w- ere most
important to the group:
I will be representing the library on the subcommittee of the Planning and
Construction committee to review applications for a project manager. An RFP
has been prepared and will appear in the central register next week.
pp
licabons are due the first Orel f [november. The subcommittee will review
the submissions and recommend a candidate to the Board of Selectmen for their
December meeting. stege cook is now the chairman of the P&eC and will chair
the subcommittee as well. Shelly Gilbert and Irving Goldberg make up the rest of
the subcommittee with Catherine Laurent representing the Town.
4
I have completed the arcual Financial Forms required by the MBLC. Those will
e go.in into the mai.I aAer 1 get Da vids signature.
