Friends of the Liboty <br /> Helene reported that there was a good turn out at the Friends' meeting at the Senior Center. She said they talked about, <br /> some of the upcoming activities and the parade.' <br /> David Burton said we, in the library family, owe a debt of gratitude to many people, David said he is going to meet with <br /> Barbara Notarius, President of the Friends, and some of the kgs th y'11 discuss include the llovmg: <br /> Expressing thanks to many people, such as: Fancy Stafford for all her efforts in putting the Preface together; <br /> Heather and her husband for all the work they've done on the parade float;Kristin Boyd;Ted Nodolny; and <br /> Shelly Gilbert. Also, over.last 4-5 years, Friends have done a luncheon for the staff. <br /> Helene said the Friends bought a laptop and they will use that to send letters out and create e-mail lists, etc. maybe it <br /> can be used to printout"thank you"letters. <br /> Jane Dolan mentioned that she sent John Woodruff a personal note of thanks for work he did-for her family at the <br /> Artisan's Fair. <br /> Planning and Construction Commute <br /> Heather advised that Barbara just found out from Steve Cook that he never heard of the bricks and benches fundraiser <br /> and evidently he said there are no plans to lair bricks. Heather said they were hired to 6 benches and ail have been <br /> sold. <br /> Carlo said he received a letter from Falmouth Friends asking for support for the Falmouth Library. He will bring the <br /> letter to the next Trustee meeting. <br /> Nancy Soderbergprovided the Trustees with a co of her notes o 'the December 'Plannfn and Construction tin <br /> p g g <br /> that she attended as Liaison from this Board. Ann.MacDonald-Dailey commented that she appreciated Nancy's notes <br /> from that meeting and they were most infonnatxve. If they are selected,then they <br /> would give us design services for free. Jane said she spoke with Ren6 Read to ask him if we could do this. He said we <br /> could buy through the state 3-year contract with there.
