Mashpee Planning Board <br /> Minutes of Meeting <br /> April 18, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. <br /> Waquoit Meeting Room,Mashpee Town Hall <br /> Planning Board Members Present: Chairman Mary Waygan, Dennis Balzarini,David <br /> Kooharian, Joe Cummings, David Weeden,Robert(Rob)Hansen <br /> Also: Evan Lehrer-Town Planner, Charles Rowley-Consulting Engineer <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> The Town of Mashpee Planning Board meeting was opened with a quorum in the Waquoit <br /> Meeting Room at Mashpee Town Hall by the Chair, at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 18, 2018. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES—April 4, 2018 <br /> It was noted that there had been a discrepancy at the last meeting,between what was stated as the <br /> amount for Charles Rowley's invoice and the amount.stated in the motion. It was recommended <br /> that the original motion be rescinded. <br /> MOTION: Mr. Balzarini made a motion to rescind his motion. Mr. Kooharian seconded <br /> the motion. All voted unanimously. <br /> MOTION: Mr. Balzarini made a motion to pay Charles Rowley$527.50 for services <br /> rendered in February in Ockway Highlands. Mr. Kooharian seconded the motion. All <br /> voted unanimously. <br /> For the record, Mr. Rowley confirmed that he had been paid the correct amount. <br /> MOTION: Mr. Balzarini made a motion to accept the minutes as presented. Mr. <br /> Kooharian seconded the motion. All voted unanimously. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Discussion.of Parking at Naukabout Brewery, 13 Lake Avenue-Peter Murner was <br /> present to address any questions regarding parking at the brewery. Mr. Lehrer reported that, <br /> during its opening,Naukabout provided a detail officer on site, but that parking had overflowed <br /> from their lot to Attaquin parking lot and the community parking lot across the street, as well as <br /> on the street. Mr. Lehrer confirmed that the Special Permit did not identify any additional <br /> parking needs. Mr. Lehrer indicated that users, not customers of the brewery,had been turned <br /> away from being allowed to park at a public asset. <br /> Mr. Murner responded that their detail officers had been instructed during the first two <br /> weekends,to direct brewery customers away from beach parking. Mr. Murner was unaware that <br /> the officers had turned away anyone intending to use the beach. W. Murner confirmed that <br /> traffic had since died down to a more normal level; and an officer would not be unnecessary. A <br /> staff member would now be located at the top of the driveway to advise customers during times <br /> that the lot was full. The intent of the brewery was never to turn beach goers away. Signage was <br /> installed to notify customers not to park at the beach. Mr. Lehrer stated that traffic load was <br /> 1 <br />
