Library-Pro*a contin <br /> Color board was shown at the August 6hmeeting. Helene said the colors shown were for carpet, wall, <br /> tiles, molding colors. No furniture colors yet. Jane said they were very well done. Helene mentioned <br /> that the stairs will be carpeted. <br /> .Tare noted that the landscaping will be low maintenance. Helene explained that there will be no <br /> irrigation and we get a LEEDS point for that so we picked love maintenance/low water using plants. <br /> DPW will bring over water in the very beginning to get the plants established, but thea the plants <br /> should be able to thrive on what name provides. <br /> • Book management system was approved. Helene stated they bought the system without the expensive <br /> maintenance contract. The system comes with a 90-day warranty. <br /> Architect Stewart Roberts has only about 25%more work for the project. At the end of the project <br /> they'll look at whether or not any of the change orders are to be charged back to the architect firm. <br /> Time Capsule...Jane Dolan asked whether or not another press release should be done or should we do an ad. <br /> The consensus of the Trustees was after Labor Day and after school starts then do as a more lengthy article <br /> that includes examples. It was expected that doing an article of this type, thea It would be printed in the press <br /> s presented. Also, Helene suggested that if Jane talked to Barbara lotari.us then perhaps the article would be <br /> printed as part of Barbara's weeny column. This suggestion was met with great enthusiasm. <br /> Friends of the Liber � <br /> Helene commented that theste Dinner went well. Helene said the Artisan's Fair book sale brought in <br /> y � <br /> around $1,300 compared to the three-clay blow-out book sale last spring that brought in about$1,000. Helene <br /> said they still had a lot of books left. <br /> Old Business <br /> Monthly.Trustee Meetin s...Consensus of the Trustees was to start future monthly meetings at 6 p.m. <br /> Motion: David Burton motioned that henceforth Library Trustee monthly meetings shall start at <br /> .m#• John Kowalski seconded this motion; and it was unanimously approved. <br /> New Business <br /> W=ant Article...The library staffing warrant Article will be reviewed by the Board of Selectmen at their <br /> meeting tonight. If approved by the Board of Selectmen,the Article Will be presented at the October Town <br /> Meeting. This Article only asks for the 2 library staff positions to be approved; it is not requesting fanding at <br /> this time. <br /> Next Meetnng...Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at 6 p.m. at Town Hall Meeting Room 3. <br /> Adjournment <br /> Dianna Smith motioned to adjourn the meeting;Nancy Soderberg.seconded the motion; and it was <br /> unanimously passed.
