The Fall CCILA Conference was held on October 23dat the Falmout.h Public Library. <br /> We had a tour of the Falmouth Library and then participated in the workshop, "The <br /> Challenging atr ". Dr. Richard Sommers from Cape Cock Community College <br /> conducted the morning presentation, followed by an a emoon discussion which included <br /> actual in tances and scenarios. It was an extremely valuable, informative and interesting <br /> day. <br /> The Title I teachers from the K.C. Coombs School scheduled their annul meeung at the <br /> i r n October 27 . Both children and parents wereinvited to hear about what tae1 b ary libhas to offer, enjoy story time, and a t .ke-hone craft activity. The attendance this <br /> year.was 25. <br /> Preschool on October 2 and brow story time to two classes. <br /> �visited the ids� � <br /> 'Dere were 20 children in the three-year-old class and 17 children in the four-year-old <br /> cuss. <br /> October 3 � <br /> -was an in-service da for Mashpee teachers, and therefore there was no <br /> school. Instead of nay regularly scheduled preschool story hour,I invited a special guest <br /> to present"Animals of Halloween" so that nay preschoolers could include their older <br /> siblings. Mary Richmond, a naturalist from Cape Cod Art and Nature, offered this <br /> special prograrn free of charge to area schools and libraries ding the month of October. <br />
