The Boys and Girls Club has been making weekly visit to the library for a story tim -conducted bytheir counselors. This is part ofa summer grant that ThBoys an-d Girls Club received. The library's in kind donation is use of the Program Boon. In previous years, the Scrabble Club was quite popular and tended t grow each week students would bring more friends. However, this year, the Scrabble Club never quite got off the ground. Participation was limited, and those ho-did participate were not from Ma hp e. Being in the Children's Room has made-it impossible for me to connect with young adults-who frequent our library. These patrons g upstairs and I never see them. In order to be an effective Young Adult librarian, and offer programming for this audience, you need to build a rapport with thein.
