President,Friends of the Library. <br /> Jack Kowalski,Chairman,eared the meeting to order at 5:03 p. . <br /> yoroval of Minutes <br /> Patricia Gamache motioned to approve the Regular Session minutes of November 8, 2011 as written. <br /> Motion was seconded by Sue McGarry. <br /> VOTE: Yes-5. Motion passed. David Burton was not present. <br /> Moll Call vote: John Kowalski,yes Patricia Gamache,yes <br /> Carlo 'Est ,yes Sandra Lahart,yes <br /> Sue McGarry,yes <br /> Reports <br /> Librw Director's Reports <br /> Kathy Mahoney distributed copies of her monthly report,and Janet urke's monthly report for the month of November. <br /> Copies of the reports provided are attached to the painted set of these minutes. The reports were reviewed and discussed <br /> at length. <br /> Responding to the Library staff request to close early on New Year's Eve,the Trustees agreed to follow past precedent <br /> and modify the Library schedule for New Year's Eve. <br /> Motion: John Kowalski motioned to adopt a modified schedule of open Library hours for December 1,2011 <br /> from 10 a.m.—'5 p.m.to 10 am.—2 p.m. Carlo I 'Este seconded the motion. <br /> VOTE; Yes- . Motion passed. <br /> Roll Call Vote: John Kowalski,yes Patricia Gamache,yes <br /> Carlo I 'Este,yes Sandra Lahart,yes <br /> Sue McGarry,yes David Burton,yes <br /> Kathy informed the Trustees that the Archives building is to be renovated and that Nancy Soderberg has presented <br /> request that the Library take a portion of the Archives' collection for storage and Library to administer and monitor the <br /> materials. Kathy spoke with Joyce Mason and Joyce would prefer to keep the collection in storage some place other <br /> than the Library. Jack Kowalski commented that this is fraught with danger and would take some looking into, but we <br /> would be willing to support storage. Carlo D'Este added that somebody has to handle it and that would be an issue for <br /> the Library. Fancy Soderberg said they were trying to make materials available to the public but ultimately'the books <br /> can be stored in Anc: horage Storage. The consensus of the Trustees vas that the Library preferred not to do this. <br />
