lllashpee Public Library March 13, 2012-Tirustees Meeting Director's Report-February When circulation figures for the month of January were finally released by the CLAMS system, as expected, our circulation figures jumped considerably from December's holiday season love of 9321, to 12,893 in January. The numbers for February.2012 continued.to climb, and reached a total of 13,634, hich represents a 29%increase""in business-from the 10,537 figure posted in February 2011. The Library continues to attract new users for .services, and issued 125 new'library cards in.the month of February. Statistics for eBooks continue to rise. Mashee library cart holders have checked out,3 8 1 2 -downloadable items since Jul.y 1, 2 11., with 65 7 of those items-checked out in February :lone.. 'Forty-eight new Mashee library-card holders re � tered to download oo1s in the month of February, 'The Library-staff receives daily requests from patrons for assistance 'in downloading eBooks from the CLAMS system and transferring them to their deader devices. Technology Volunteer, Tom Weaver provides one-on-one help sessions-and tutorials to assist patrons with their questions on Tuesday and rrhursday afternoons On March 20,'the Library will offer. group workshop to walk patrons through the process of using.their Amazon Kindte devices to download e ooks. Posters have been distributed, notices sent to the papers, and information has been posted online. On February 8, 1 attended the CLAMS Director's meeting.
