Mashpee Public Library <br /> May 2, 2012-Board of Trustees Meeting <br /> Director's Report <br /> CIRCULATION <br /> CLAMS Circulation figures for the month of March were 14, 039 items, which represents an <br /> increase from the month of February 2012,which posted a total circulation of 13, 364: It also <br /> surpasses the total circulation for March 2011, which was 13,865. <br /> COLLECTION DEVELOPMENT <br /> ITEMS ADDED <br /> Due to the change in date of the Trustees meeting to May 2,the April figures are not available. <br /> ITEMS LOST OR MISSING(Mashpee Only <br /> Due to the change in date of the Trustees meeting to May 2, the April figures are not available. <br /> MEETING ROOM USE <br /> The first floor Event Room and Conference Room were reserved for 40 distinct events during the <br /> month of April, an increase from the 34 events hosted in March. Notable events included a <br /> professional development workshop for staff of the KC Coombs School, a meeting of the <br /> Mashpee Wampanoag Tribal Elders, a meeting of the Mashpee Garden Club, an ongoing support <br /> group for parents of disabled children sponsored by the Kennedy-Doane Center, America's Safe <br /> Boating Course,public forums sponsored by the U.S.Fish and Wildlife Service, Mashpee Youth <br /> Baseball All Star Team parents meeting, Cape Cod Volunteers Community Forum, Deer <br /> Crossing Home Owner's Association Meeting, Town of Mashpee Employee Benefits <br /> presentations, as well as numerous Scout troop meetings, Children's programs, and local Book <br /> Club meetings. <br /> PROGRAMS <br /> • During the month of April, the Library hosted children's programming to coincide with <br /> no-school and vacation days. The programs included a Magic Show, Sing-A-Long, <br /> World of Bubbles, and a movie. All of the events were very well received with <br /> attendance of over 100 children and caregivers at one event.. In total the library <br /> sponsored or co-sponsored 25 programs, with an attendance of 839 children and family <br /> members. <br />
