On June 29, 1 met with Town Counsel, Pat Costello, and he approved the draft version of the Gift <br /> Policy, which was approved at our April board meeting. e was ver leased with the ro <br /> p <br /> we have made in creating and updating policies. <br /> June 30,marked the end of FY 12,.and the closing of the books. The Library was able to <br /> complete the year under budget and tinned finds back to the town in a number of cats ores. <br /> Although the books will not be of eially closed until mid-July, we will defuiitelym be returning <br /> unused funds ($3000-$4000 total) in the areas of Energy, Communications, and the CLAIMS <br /> network fees due to lower than average use or billing. We will also 1e turning back an estimated <br /> $26,000 in funding from the employee salary line. Her eligibility Mn the program expired and she was <br /> rewired to end her time with u . However, due to the efforts of Janet Burke, Elder Services has <br /> granted,us another placement. A new emplo ee from the Mature Worker program will be <br /> working at the Library 20 hours a week in the Children's Room, leginnng the meek of Jul <br /> We have high hopes that she will be as wonderff.l and dependable as'Peggy. <br /> } <br />
