In 2007 a new color imaging used by almost every Town department was purchased; Scanners used by every Town department were purchased. All of these were possible through MCAT funding. He said these are the kinds of projects that will benefit residents of Mashee for years to cone. As an example: Assessor"s Office saves over$10,000 per year because previously they had to outsource work that we can now do in-house. Centralize data and mapping capabilities. Server used now will have to be replaced and updated. GIS web services have new technology to be looked at. Phone systems old and getting expensive to maintain to be replaced. David would like to consider someone like Network 1P based phone system. Maxine Wolfet added comment here that she would like IP cameras in some areas around Town to prevent illegal F dumping. Joyce Mason addressed the Dearing. She said there are a few things very important to get into the record and are important to the cable licensing process moving forward. Joyce said some of the items are: 1. J yce then stated that there are rumblings that Comeast is trying to trove away from the local studios. In the a.lternativif that is the direction we go in,but Joyce said she hopes it is not—then the belief is. Comcast should provide funding in order for the Town to provide for public access programming.
