Tv Control Room <br /> David DelVecehio addressed the Board and said one important piece'of equipment that is old and has to be replaced <br /> in the Control Room is the modulator. Andrew Eliason commented that the modulator is well over 10 years old. In <br /> addition, Andrew said it never produced a picture that he was ever satisfied with. Andrew said the improvements <br /> already made on the prograrn are fantastic and this is one more piece of equipment that is necessary. Jaynes <br /> Chisholm added that he has been watching Planning.hoard meetings and is really impressed with the video result. <br /> .fames Chisholm said now that we have a first-class setup in this room,why not finish the job in the Control Room <br /> and bring it up-to-date. <br /> David IelVecchio distributed a copy ofValley Communication quote of September 9,2009 for $2,154.80 to <br /> supply and install a Blonder-Tongue Modulation and PR SS Controller. David also pointed out that this <br /> equipment would make our scheduler work. David also said that once this equipment is in if the picture duality <br /> doesn't improve then it will be up to Comcast to do something at their end. <br /> As an aside,Rene' Read commented that the cameras that were in here will be used for the security system. <br /> James Chisholm asked: will this be an end to what is needed in the Control Room? Andrew Eliason responded <br /> that there are still color monitors and other equipment needed,but the modulator is the last of the"necessary" <br /> equipment needed. <br /> Motion. James Chisholm motioned to recommend to the Board of Selectmen that$2,154,80 be paid for the 2 <br /> items'listed in the Valley Communication Systems,Inc. September 9,2009 correspondence quote, Lolita <br /> McCray seconded this motion; and it was unanimously approved. <br /> David Delvecchio requested$980.80 in funding for electrical work by Glynn Electric to provide power for the <br /> projector and 2 projector screens that are installed in the Meeting Room 1. David explained that Glynn relocated <br /> the outlet down on the wall. <br /> Motion: James Chisholm motioned that the Board recommend the Board of Selectmen that$980.80 be paid <br /> to Glynn Electric as detailed in Glynn Invoice 03744 of 8/11/09; Lolita McCray seconded this motion., and it <br /> was unanimously approved. <br /> Rene'Read informed the Board that they will upgrade the operator's manual for the Control Room operators. <br /> Comcast.License Renewal <br /> Rene' Read provided the Board with a 4-page list of equipment at the Comea t Studio that would come to Town o <br /> 1 fashpee if Come .st doesn't maintain the studio. <br /> Andrew Eliason said that a number of years ago Ma h ee put together a broadcast system and it may reside at the <br /> school right now but it was purchased for the use of public television.
