PP <br /> 4 *W <br /> %* <br /> 410 <br /> Wo <br /> E <br /> MASBPEE CABLE AND ADVANCED <br /> TECHNOLOGY ADVISORY BOARD <br /> MINUTES of MEETING TIN HELD <br /> TUESDAY,JUNE 89 2010 <br /> TOWN HALL.`.`MEETING ROOM M I <br /> I <br /> Present: Andrew Eliason <br /> Jaynes Chisholm <br /> Lollta McCray <br /> Peter Cohen <br /> Also Present: David DelVe thio,Director of Information Technology <br /> Arthur Joia,Media Arts Director-Mashpee Public Schools - <br /> Andrew Elia.son, Chairman,called the meeting of MCAT Board to order at 2:05 p.m. <br /> Aipj!roval ofNEnutes <br /> Lolita McCray motioned to accept the m utes of the Meeting of May 11,2010 as presented;Peter Cohcn seconded <br /> the motion; and the notion was unanimously approved. <br /> Mashyee Public Schools Tv Studio <br /> Arthur Joia presented a proposal to the Board requesting MCAT to support broadcast equipment to the Mashpee <br /> High School TV Studio. The proposal submitted included 2 JVC FfN4700 cameras with appropriate accessories for <br /> studio intcgration. A copy of Mr.Joia's proposal presented to the MCAT Board is attached to the printed set o <br /> these minutes. <br /> Andrew Elia.son stated that the last couple of times the student broadcast Town meetings there was a problem with <br /> quality; sound was bad. Andrew asked what can be done to improve that. Arthur Joia said he did get a message <br /> from someone concerned about the same issue. Arthur said he tested all sources and they were fine. The problem <br /> was with Comcast and Comcast brought over another modulator. Arthur said the modulator'is the equipment <br /> owned by Comcast.- Arthur said Comcast is going to service the modulator when school year ends. Arthur said <br /> normal school broadcasts are done at Quashnet and they have a modulator so school has 2 modulators—one at the <br /> High School and one at Quashnet. According to Arthur,the portable broadcaster does not have a modulator bui4t <br /> into it. Andrew Eliason said he would do some research because he thought we bought a modulator along with, hat <br /> portable package. <br />
