an issue of concern raised in the results of Dr. Howes , Study. <br /> Selectman Dini io suggested the Mashpee Commons project be <br /> encompassed within the waste Water Facilities Study. <br /> Mr. Fudala agreed, stating some of the considerations are <br /> sharing/taking over/cluster facilities. He stated Dr. Howes , <br /> Study is a two-year study, critical numbers will not be available <br /> for at least one year. He suggested initially considering <br /> various options, types of facilities, suitability cost and <br /> nutrient wise in certain neighborhoods, a pre-waste water <br /> facilities study. <br /> 1r. Storrs stated that Duncan wood, who is conducting the <br /> waste water analysis for Mashpee Commons, and Dr. Howes have <br /> spoken and should continue to do so. Their goal is to obtain <br /> the difference between the two scenarios for the voter. The <br /> permitting process will be lengthy. The waste water will cone <br /> on-line over a twenty 20 year period. He expressed his <br /> confidence that Dr. Howes' Study will have a positive impact <br /> on the waste water disposal . <br /> Selectman Dini io suggested, with the approval of the <br /> Conunittee, to ask Dr. Howes how the Town should be planning for <br /> the Mashpee Commons expansion in the context of waste water, at <br /> the Meeting scheduled for Monday, December 22, 1997. <br /> Mr. P data co rented on facilities planning, noting issues <br /> for discussion would be the amount of waste water to be processed <br /> and the concerns regarding run off nutrients. <br /> 1r. Storrs stated that should Whitings, Road (25 units be <br /> developed, they would not tie into the waste water treatment <br /> plant. Which would be reflected in the scenarios.') <br /> Scope of Services <br /> Mr. Brais addressed the scope of services, and informed the <br /> Committee that Jeff O' Connell is the Environmental Review person, <br /> Mr. Brais has requested Mr. O' Connell to review the scope with <br /> regard to the waste water issue and to identify if the run off <br /> issue is of a ,magnitude that would, in his opinion, be useful <br /> information for voters for this zoning review given that the run <br /> off issue will be reviewed in later environmental review <br /> statements. <br /> Selectman Dini io invited Mr. ' Connell to attend the Monday <br /> night meeting, at which time Dr. Howes is to deliver a report <br /> regarding the Mashpee River/development of a Facilities Plan. <br /> Mr. whritenour asked if it would be possible, as part of the <br /> waste water project, to use the expansion of mashpee Commons in <br /> addition to treating the waste water from the project, to use the <br /> facility to reduce nitrogen already going into the Mashpee liver <br /> _1 - <br />
