Introduce Board Secretary Jennifer Ahearn Board <br /> secretary, Jennifer Ahearn was introduced to the committee . <br /> 2 . Roll call - Mr. Eliason suggested that everyone go <br /> around the room and introduce themselves . <br /> . <br /> . Guest Bob Fensternaker,, Media One Access Director - Mr. <br /> Eliason recognized Bob Fensternaker, Access Coordinator from <br /> Mediaone who is here was there to give a presentation <br /> regarding the use of digital equipment . <br /> Mr. Fensternaker distributed a packet to all committee <br /> members for review. He explained that the first page was a <br /> list of contacts, or people who are currently using the <br /> mediaone facilities . This is followed by the hours of <br /> operation, which are, he added, very flexible and designed <br /> to meet the needs of the community . Lastly .is a list of <br /> operating procedures for the year 2000 . These were put <br /> together by all of the access coordinators at Mediaone s <br /> that everyone would know what to expect when they carne in to <br /> use the facility. <br /> Mr. Fensternaker stated that on the inside of the folder was <br /> proposal to move channel. 1.7 into the digital realm. <br /> fairly lengthy presentation ensued consisting of a thorough <br /> explanation of the advantages of upgrading to digital <br /> equipment and an informal. ' question and answer period. <br /> During the question and answer phase, committee members were <br /> given a chance t -voice their ideas and concerns regarding <br /> possible upgrade . <br /> Mr. Fensternaker told committee members that one of the <br /> major advantages of using digital cameras that he would like <br /> the committee to consider is that there appears to be no <br /> 1%%generation loss ' ' . He also stated that the picture is <br /> noticeably clearer. <br />
