Town of Mashpee RECEIVED <br /> Mashpee Conunons Advisory Committee NAY i <br /> Minutes of Meeting <br /> AWN CLERK <br /> March 31, 1998 MAS <br /> HPEE <br /> The Mashpee Commons Advisory Conunittee Meeting was called to <br /> order~ in Conference Room #1, Mashpee Town Ball, 16 Great Neck <br /> Road North, Mashpee, Massachusetts, at :40 p.m. on Tuesday, <br /> March 31, 1998. The Chairman, Kenneth 1Marter , presided. <br /> committee Members present : Kenneth Mar' ters, Selectman; <br /> Robert whritenour, Executive Secretary; F. Thomas Fudala, Town <br /> Planner; Melbourne ragwell; and Robert Lynch. <br /> Absent: John KUchinski, Planning Board, Member; Sally Bold; <br /> Antoinette Brooks; Stephen Brocato; and John Ferguson. <br /> Also present : Arnold Chace (4 .-50 p.m. ) ; and Douglas Storrs, <br /> Mashpee Commons Ltd. Partnership. <br /> The Chairman declared a quorum to be present and called the <br /> Meeting to order. As the first order of business, he addressed <br /> the natter of Minutes. <br /> Approval of minutes <br /> Selectman Mar•sters entertained a motion for approval of the <br /> minutes for the March to, 199 Meeting. <br /> MOTION: Robert Lynch made a Motion to approve the minutes <br /> f March 10, 1998 as submitted.; which Motion was seconded by <br /> Melbourne Cragwell and so voted unanimously. <br /> Status-Commercial Center~ Bylaw <br /> Selectman Marsters advised Committee Members and members of <br /> the public that the Selectmen had decided against including the <br /> Bylaw on the warrant for May Town Meeting last week; which <br /> decision has been reversed as of March 30, 1998, whereby the <br /> Bylaw has been accepted for the May Town Meeting warrant. <br /> At this point, Selectman Marsters deferred to Mr. Storrs who <br /> introduced Kevin Frye and Bob Burnett, who are in the midst of <br /> preparing a FBS Special on this type of development. Mr. Storrs <br /> explained Messrs. Frye and Burnett plan to return during the <br /> first weekend of May in order to do some filming around Town. <br /> Mr. Frye explained he and Mr. Burnett are involved with ars <br /> organization in Washington, D.C. which is producing a series of <br /> television documentaries for PBS distribution focusing on how <br /> design plan can help revitalize communities. The current theme <br /> they are working on is entitled, "Becoming Good Neighbors" and <br /> deals with how design planning can be used as a tool to help <br />
