i <br /> Mr. ]Baker stated another concern of his relating to the <br /> three mashpee Commons neighborhoods, being only a part of the <br /> overall construction potential in that area of mashpee. Mr. <br /> Baker named a number of other owners/properties. <br /> Mr. Baker commented that if MCLP could guarantee that all <br /> wastewater generated in the Mashpee Commons area of Town be <br /> processed through a filter bed leading into Nantucket Sound, and <br /> that all road runoff would be handled in accordance with current <br /> state recommendations, there would be no objections. <br /> Mr. Baler also corrnented on the Planning Board in general <br /> and in particular to the Meeting of April. 2 , 1998 . He stated <br /> his opinion was that the Planning Board Members knew very little <br /> about the proposed zoning change until such time as the Town <br /> Planner explained it. NLS`. Baker further stated his opinion to be <br /> that the Planning Board is not examining/planning the Rotary area <br /> in a way that is best for the Town. <br /> r. Storrs responded to comments made by the previous <br /> speaker by stating that zoning is not dependent upon any of the <br /> issues he raised. <br /> Mr. Storrs also made it very clear that he has no control <br /> over any other~ proect being proposed in the Mashpee Cormns <br /> area. He stated that although he could not solve all of those <br /> kinds of problems, he would be happy to be a part of the <br /> solution. <br /> r. Storrs stated MCLP has gone to the Sewer Corn.ssion <br /> under the direction of this Committee, provided thein with a <br /> detailed memo copies to Committee members) , provided preliminary <br /> costs, to which they have had no feedback. <br /> . <br /> Mr. Fudala noted the Sewer Commission' s reaction has been <br /> favorable, and that the next step would be to present a <br /> i <br /> commitment for the project. <br /> Selectman Marsters recognized Paul Lumbsd -:n who stated that <br /> ashpee citizens are concerned with any number of issues in <br /> general, such as additional houses, people, cars, roads, etc. it <br /> is his opinion that the citizens of 1ashpee are requesting <br /> precise information because they are concerned the Town has been <br /> built close to capacity and do not want to see construction <br /> beyond the present point. If possible, he stated the citizens of <br /> the Town would life to see improvements being made. <br /> Nor. whritenour declared the Committee supports the proposed <br /> zoning changes and acknowledged the type of development being <br /> proposed by MCLP is superior to anything the current zoning <br /> allows, but that- the public is interested in dealing with status <br /> quo vs. any development and that the wrong points have been <br /> presented to the public.
